Requirements
- MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: Registered Nurse (RN), Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES)
- MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 4 years of Cath Lab Tech Experience
- MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW: Current Georgia RN license, RCIS or RCES
- ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: BCLS and ACLS
- Proficient in scrubbing, sedating, circulating, and monitoring.
- Also, proficient in multi-specialty procedure.
Responsibilities
- RESPONSIBLE FOR: RN is Preferred, will consider Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Assists the physician in the performance of invasive advanced cardiac procedures, has thorough knowledge of all Cath/EP Lab Equipment and maintenance of it and administers direct/indirect care to patients undergoing invasive cardiac procedures.
- Able to provide direct and indirect cardiovascular clinical care during established procedures and provide sedation for patients.
- Additionally, will serve as subject matter expert in challenging and difficult cases by providing guidance to fellow Cath lab/EP lab techs in the proper operation of equipment and procedures used in the Catheterization Laboratory.
- Must be able to perform a combination of higher-level work such as Cath, EP, and/or Vascular.
