About The Position

The case manager coordinates with physicians, nurses, social workers and other health team members to expedite medically appropriate, cost-effective care. The case manager applies clinical expertise and medical appropriateness criteria to resource utilization and discharge planning. Graduate of accredited School of Nursing with current Alabama licensure.

Requirements

• Graduate of accredited School of Nursing with current Alabama licensure.
• Five years clinical experience strongly preferred.
• Comparable combination of education and experience will be considered.
• Effective communication skills, verbal and written, as well as excellent organization skills are required.

Nice To Haves

• Previous utilization management, discharge planning or hospital based social service experience is very beneficial.
