Summary: Ref #: M -RN -295119 Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cardiothoracic Operating Room Job Type: Contract/Travel Start Date: ASAP Location: Carbondale, IL Shift Type: Days Rate: $2,984/40 -hours Requirements: Active RN license Graduate of accredited nursing program BLS required; ACLS preferred Previous cardiothoracic OR experience required Knowledge of cardiac and thoracic surgical procedures Strong critical thinking and teamwork skills Responsibilities: Provide nursing care for cardiothoracic surgical procedures Circulate and/or scrub during cardiac and thoracic surgeries Prepare and position patients for surgery Maintain sterile field and ensure surgical safety standards Monitor patient status and assist with intraoperative care Manage surgical equipment, instruments, and supplies Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and OR team Document intraoperative care in the EMR
Requirements
- Active RN license
- Graduate of accredited nursing program
- BLS required; ACLS preferred
- Previous cardiothoracic OR experience required
- Knowledge of cardiac and thoracic surgical procedures
- Strong critical thinking and teamwork skills
