The organization is seeking a talented RN-Cardiac Cath-Structural Heart, offering a $5,000 New Hire Sign On bonus for candidates with 2+ years of RN Cardiac Cath experience. Rehires who were terminated greater than 1 year ago are eligible. This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, working Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, with a rotating day off. On-call duty is required. The role is located at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River, MA.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • CPR certification.
  • ACLS certifications.
  • Critical care or cardiology experience.
  • 2+ years of RN Cardiac Cath experience.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.

Nice To Haves

  • BSN Degree.
  • Minimum of one (1) year Cardiac Cath Lab and Electrophysiology experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diversified duties within and in support of the Structural Heart and Cardiac Cath Departments.
  • Prepare patients for various procedures.
  • Conduct pre- and post-procedure patient teaching.
  • Conduct nursing assessment of patient.
  • Identify potential problems and discuss findings with physician.
  • Assist the physician with performance of cardiac catheterization, interventional, structural heart such as advanced transcatheter cardiac therapies including valve procedures in both mitral and aortic valve treatment, left atrial appendage procedures, left ventricular support devices, and adult congenital heart catheter therapies.
  • Operate various technical instruments utilized in patient monitoring, surgical intervention and image processing.
  • Calculate, prepare, and administer various pharmaceuticals within the scope of practice.
  • Identify and interpret physiologic reactions and take appropriate action.
  • Provide a permanent record of significant, functional, anatomical, and/or pathological data obtained from each individual patient.
  • Document notes in a clear and concise manner.
