RN - Bone Morrow Transplant
About The Position
Join Cleveland Clinic's Taussig Cancer Center and become part of one of the most respected healthcare organizations in the world. Known for its continuous clinical trials and cancer research, the Taussig Cancer Center ensures all patients receive top-quality patient care and have access to the newest advances in cancer treatment. The G110 Bone Marrow Transplant Unit is dedicated to the care of patients undergoing a bone marrow transplant for a diagnosis of leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma and other cancers. The highly skilled G110 caregivers assist with giving patients high dose chemotherapy followed by autologous, allogeneic, umbilical cord or nonmyeloablative transplant. This unit also provides treatment of graft versus host disease and symptom management for chronic patients. A caregiver in this position works day/night rotation, from 7:00am-7:30pm or 7:30pm-7:00am.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN program)
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- One year of current acute care RN experience
- Military RN experience will be considered

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care.
- Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.
- Monitor, record, document and communicate patients' conditions.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
- Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs.
- Educate patients and their families.
