The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is a collaborative health care organization focused on improving patient care and the lives of Arkansans through its unique combination of education, research, and clinical programs. The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Behavioral Health Service Line (BHSL) Child Diagnostic Unit is responsible for consistently providing effective direct care to a variety of patients as part of an interdisciplinary team, based on their licensure, title, and competencies. The RN is expected to seek and provide feedback for improved clinical practice, integrate theory and research into practice, and provide leadership to the nursing team to maintain patient care standards. This role works under the direct supervision of the Clinical Services Manager (CSM). Promotion opportunities are based on years of experience, satisfactory performance appraisals, and manager recommendation. Employees must successfully complete a UAMS-sponsored conflict management training within six months of hire to address disruptive behaviors.
