The Registered Nurse Bed Coordinator at St. Luke’s University Health Network is responsible for prioritizing, triaging, and coordinating patient flow activities, including all inter/intra-facility transfers and bed placement. This role serves as the initial contact for all providers who wish to transfer a patient for a higher level of care. The coordinator facilitates transfers to the most appropriate Network facility based on location, available specialties, and bed availability in conjunction with the accepting physician. This is a part-time position, .4 FTE (16 hours per week), on an Evening Shift from 3 PM to 11 PM, with a requirement to work every other weekend and 4 holidays per year on rotation.
