The Float Pool provides a unique experience for caregivers to care for diverse populations of patients in many units, departments and/or locations. As an RN on this team, you will travel between Weston, Coral Springs, Parkland, West Palm Beach and Palm Beach Gardens to provide nursing support and enhance patient experience. You also have the opportunity to learn new procedures and techniques through hands-on training from some of the best caregivers in the field. This is a regular PRN position, with caregivers working days varying 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m . or 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. PRN requirement is to work a minimum of two weekdays per week . Our clinics are open Monday through Friday, no weekends. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting. Assess health status, complete nursing assessments, perform telephone triage, and establish care plans. Administer medication and treatments. Initiate CPR and other emergency measures. Notify the physician and/or Licensed Independent Provider (LIP) of abnormal findings. Assist with specialized diagnostic procedures, therapeutic procedures, and specialized patient care equipment. Develop, evaluate, adapt and document health education and provide it to patients and families. Cover other nursing roles within the department. Travel within the region to support physician clinics and surgical procedures, as needed.
