The Float Pool provides a unique opportunity for caregivers to support diverse patient populations across multiple units, departments, and locations. In this role, you will deliver exceptional nursing care from initial introduction to final send-off and float between multiple providers to enhance clinical efficiency. You will also interact directly with patients, families, and visitors throughout their visit, helping enhance their overall experience and providing essential healthcare information. This is a regular PRN position, with caregivers working days between 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Candidates must be able to work 1–2 eight-hour shifts per week, including at least one Monday and one Friday each month. This role requires travel to Weston, Coral Springs, Parkland, West Palm Beach, and Palm Beach Gardens, with tolls and mileage reimbursed. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting. Assess health status, complete nursing assessments, perform telephone triage and establish care plans. Administer medications and treatments. Initiate CPR and other emergency measures. Notify the physician and/or Licensed Independent Provider (LIP) of abnormal findings. Assist with specialized diagnostic procedures, therapeutic procedures and specialized patient care equipment. Develop, evaluate, adapt and document health education and provide it to patients and families. Cover other nursing roles within the department. Travel within the region to support physician clinics and surgical procedures, as needed.
