Job Details Equipped with the latest technologies, Cleveland Clinic's Richard E. Jacobs Health Center brings world-class care close to home for the residents in and around Avon, Ohio. In addition to advanced specialty and primary care, this facility also includes an outpatient surgery center, an infusion suite for chemotherapy, a full-scale imaging center, two pools for aquatic therapy and more. Cleveland Clinic’s Richard E. Jacobs Health Center offers a wide variety of dermatology, facial and plastics services, such as injections and filler, excisions, cosmetic dermatology, cutaneous laser surgery, hair loss treatment, laser hair removal, tattoo removal, lip enhancement, non-invasive cosmetic procedures and skin care. A caregiver in this position work Monday through Friday with varying times between 7:00am and 5:30pm. Some evenings may be required until 8:00pm. Saturday rotations occur from 8:00am to 4:00pm. No holiday expectations but will float to other nearby facilities.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross
  • One year of recent experience as an RN
  • Will consider LPN, Medical Assistant and/or other unlicensed clinical healthcare experience in substitution of RN experience if applicant is a current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in an ambulatory setting transferring into an RN role but remaining in the same current ambulatory Cleveland Clinic setting OR a current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in a clinical role within the same specialty area transferring into an ambulatory area
  • Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
  • Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range.
  • May requires some exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids.
  • Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN)
  • Prior procedural experience or ICU background
  • Prior experience in dermatology

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting.
  • Assess health status, complete nursing assessments, perform telephone triage and establish care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments
  • Initiate CPR and other emergency measures
  • Notify the physician and/or Licensed Independent Provider (LIP) of abnormal findings
  • Assist with specialized diagnostic procedures, therapeutic procedures and specialized patient care equipment
  • Develop, evaluate, adapt and document health education and provide it to patients and families
  • Cover other nursing roles within the department
  • Travel within the region to support physician clinics and surgical procedures, as needed
