Position Summary: The Administrator, reporting to the VP of Home Health Operations and/or designee (Regional Director of Operations/Executive Director), serves as the operational leader for the assigned home health agency/agencies, with full accountability for clinical quality, regulatory compliance, financial performance, and organizational culture. Reporting to the VP of Home Health Operations (or designee) and working closely with regional and executive leadership, this role is responsible for translating organizational strategy into measurable operational results. Executive Accountabilities Strategic & Operational Leadership Provide executive oversight of all agency operations, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives, regulatory requirements, and quality standards. Lead the development and execution of operational plans that support long-term performance, scalability, and patient-centered care. Serve as the senior decision-maker for the assigned agency, exercising sound judgment in complex clinical, operational, and financial matters. Clinical Quality & Regulatory Excellence Ensure the delivery of high-quality, compliant home health services in accordance with federal and state regulations. Establish a culture of accountability for clinical outcomes, documentation integrity, and patient safety. Oversee utilization review, performance improvement initiatives, and corrective action plans to drive continuous improvement. Act as a subject-matter expert and executive resource on home health regulatory and operational best practices. Financial Stewardship Maintain full fiscal accountability for agency performance, including budgeting, cost control, revenue integrity, and financial reporting. Develop, implement, and regularly evaluate branch budgets to ensure financial sustainability and operational efficiency. Prepare and present annual operational reports and agency evaluations to executive leadership and the Board of Directors. Talent & Culture Leadership Attract, develop, and retain high-performing clinical and administrative leaders. Set expectations for performance excellence, professional development, and ethical leadership across the organization. Ensure robust staff education, competency assessment, and leadership succession planning. Foster a culture that values accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Stakeholder & Community Leadership Serve as the executive representative of the agency to physicians, referral partners, community organizations, and regulatory bodies. Lead strategic relationship-building initiatives to strengthen the agency’s reputation and market presence. Ensure patient experience and satisfaction metrics are actively monitored, analyzed, and improved. Governance & Organizational Effectiveness Implement governing body directives and organizational policies with consistency and integrity. Evaluate agency programs, services, and operational effectiveness; recommend strategic enhancements or corrective actions. Direct preparation of the annual agency evaluation and oversee reporting requirements that support operational and clinical excellence. #HighLC1

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years of senior management or executive leadership experience within a licensed healthcare delivery setting (home health, hospice, hospital, nursing facility, or comparable environment).
  • Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary teams and complex healthcare operations.
  • Two years of nursing management experience required.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university with a healthcare-related focus required.
  • Licensed Physician, Registered Nurse, Social Worker, Therapist, or Nursing Home Administrator preferred.
  • Current state professional license required where applicable.
  • Completion of Texas-specific administrative training (TAC 97.259 / 97.260) provided or agreement to complete upon hire within 2 weeks.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to translate vision into operational execution.
  • Strong financial literacy and experience managing budgets and performance metrics.
  • Executive-level communication and relationship management skills.
  • Proven ability to lead through change, ambiguity, and regulatory complexity.
  • High ethical standards and commitment to patient-centered care.
  • Availability for after-hours leadership support and emergency response.
  • Travel as required; reliable transportation and insurance required.
  • Ongoing commitment to professional development and continuing education.
