The RN-Administrative Supervisor provides leadership and direction for the entire nursing department during the shift to which he/she is assigned. Expertise is demonstrated through innovative problem solving in clinical practice. The RN-Administrative Supervisor is a leader and change agent in the pursuit of improved nursing practice and quality patient care. Is responsible for administrative issues and daily maintenance of the facility with leadership functions directed at facilitating the smooth delivery of patient care on their shift. The RN-Administrative Supervisor functions independently and demonstrates professional accountability by adhering to professional standards. The RN-Administrative Supervisor will act as Incident Commander designee when the disaster plan is activated until a senior administrative person is available to assume responsibility.
