The RMIS Technology Specialist’s primary responsibility is to support activities and communication related to the Risk Management Information System (RMIS) and KPA Risk Management Center (RMC). The role will be the subject matter expert and key point of contact for all systems users, both internal and external.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and basic PowerPoint functions.

Nice To Haves

  • A four-year degree in a business or technology-related field is preferred.
  • Prior work experience in insurance and risk management is preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience with insurance concepts, claims, risk and RMIS systems is preferred.
  • Three years relevant work experience in a similar capacity is preferred.
  • Licensing as required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute system configuration and implementation plan on RMIS & RMC within the firm and in support of internal and external client business goals and objectives.
  • Manage system configuration and validation, including the loading and validation of integrated and external data sources.
  • Ability to map legacy data in Excel into the format necessary for upload into the RMIS & RMC platforms.
  • Quality control of data to ensure the information is accurate and reasonable.
  • Trouble shoot system issues, addressing both technical and business needs and concerns.
  • Responsible for user setup and maintenance and both initial and ongoing user training.
  • Develop and maintain marketing material and collateral suitable for internal and external use.
  • Demonstrate and train internal, external and prospective clients on how to use RMIS & RMC.
  • Responsible for the design, creation and distribution of reports for both internal and external users.
  • Handle special requests or reports as designated by leadership.
  • Act as liaison for firm with the RMIS vendor.
  • Participate in training and meeting in order to better assist external and internal customers.
  • Increase industry awareness and knowledge as measured by attendance at continuing education, attaining or updating designations, and participation in other agency training offerings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • Travel to and collaborate with clients & regional offices as needed to ensure alignment in processes, initiatives, and practices.
