The RMA is responsible for monitoring and reducing barriers to medication adherence for clients receiving behavioral health and psychiatric services. Performs clinical, administrative and clerical duties to ensure that physicians and advance practice nurses have accurate client prescribing histories to inform their prescribing decisions. Reviews prescription refill data and develops support strategies in collaboration with behavioral health team and client to help initiate and sustain medication adherence, improving client outcomes. The RMA will be trained in providing medical support to individuals impacted by a variety of behavioral health issues who are learning to manage aspects of their mental illness/substance abuse recovery. Education: The candidate must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent. Must have completed an approved certification course for becoming a medical assistant and hold certification as a Registered or Certified Medical Assistant in the State of Missouri. or Be a Licensed Practical Nurse with the State of Missouri
