About The Position

Under the Regional and Local Health Operations (RLHO) Information Systems (RIS) Manager, this position provides advanced technical assistance and customer support for the DSHS statewide case management and case investigation system (CMIS), myInsight and the Qualtrics program. The RIS group is responsible for project management and execution, ensuring information security and coordination with IT teams and the RLHO Analytics group to ensure maintenance and optimization of TxS2, CMIS, and Qualtrics. The RIS group is part of the Analytics and Information Management Unit within the RLHO Division. Our mission is to analyze and transform public health information that empowers stakeholders to make data-driven decisions and improve outcomes.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of information systems/technology processes and procedures.
  • Knowledge of personal computers, Microsoft products, and other applicable software.
  • Skill in prioritizing work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Skill in supporting diverse teams to achieve desired results.
  • Ability to gather, assemble, correlate and analyze facts.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external partners.
  • Ability to translate technical information and communicate it to a non-technical audience.
  • Graduation from a four-year college or university is required.
  • 3 years of experience supporting IT projects, for example - coordination and collaboration in planning, development, implementation, and documentation of projects is required.
  • 3 years of experience providing technical assistance on IT applications is required.
  • 3 years of experience with Microsoft Applications, such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in creating and maintaining SharePoint sites is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Providing advanced technical assistance and customer support for CMIS and Qualtrics.
  • Recommending system modifications, user training and resolutions to the CMIS Coordinator and the CMIS/myInsight vendor based on recurring help desk tickets and system reports.
  • Documenting reported issues, system errors and outages, and tracks technical assistance provided to end users.
  • Performing and documenting user acceptance testing of system enhancements and making recommendations prior to implementation of changes in the production environment.
  • Creating and maintaining the CMIS SharePoint site.
  • Creating complex surveys in Qualtrics to collect programmatic data for analysis and reporting.
