The Risk Manager role involves developing and overseeing comprehensive risk management programs, leading investigations for claims and serious events, managing litigation, harnessing data for process improvement, and spearheading safety initiatives and medical staff training.

Requirements

  • High School diploma equivalency with 3 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 2 years of cumulative experience OR 7 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 years of leadership or management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee comprehensive risk management programs, aligning organizational strategies with safety goals to proactively reduce institutional liability.
  • Lead end-to-end investigations for claims and serious events, managing litigation across all coverage lines while serving as a key expert on clinical review teams.
  • Harness data capture and trend analysis to evaluate risk functions, presenting actionable insights to committees to optimize patient safety and environmental standards.
  • Spearhead the creation of safety initiatives and medical staff training, including the PACT program and medical device recall protocols, to foster a culture of continuous risk reduction.
