About The Position

We are seeking a full-time, in-office Risk Management/Collections Specialist who brings curiosity, empathy, and problem-solving skills to every member interaction and wants to help people move forward with confidence. This role involves working directly with members to find solutions that work for both the member and credit union, provide education to members, and resolve delinquent accounts. We believe collections is more than just collecting payments - its about helping members get back on track.

Requirements

  • Previous collection, lending, or financial services experience
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to remain professional and compassionate
  • Ability to handle sensitive conversations with confidence and respect
  • Comfortable handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • A genuine desire to help people and make a difference

Responsibilities

  • Contacting members by phone, email, and mail regarding past-due loan accounts
  • Working and educating members to understand their situation and offer appropriate repayment options
  • Keep accurate, detailed, updated, and thorough documentation and notes on all accounts
  • Monitor delinquency trends and escalate accounts when necessary
  • Work closely with teammates and other departments to support member success
