About The Position

LEGENDS GLOBAL, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an immediate opening for a Rink Operations Lead to support the overall daily operations of the ice rink facility, and ensure a safe, clean, and customer-focused environment. This role assists in supervising staff, coordinating programs and events, maintaining facility equipment and standards while supporting revenue growth initiatives. The Rink Operations Lead plays a key leadership role during assigned shifts and acts on behalf of the Operations Manager when needed. Oversee general ice rink related facility maintenance; and proper delivery of event-related services. Performs the following duties personally or through a subordinate: Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Assist in supervising daily rink operations, including public skate, hockey, figure skating, and special events Monitor ice quality and coordinate resurfacing schedules Ensure facility cleanliness, safety, and compliance with all regulations Conduct routine facility inspections and report maintenance needs Coordinates shutdown and start-ups of utilities when necessary and performs regular chiller checks on the ice skid Open and close cashiers ensuring that revenue and cash count reconciles with sales recorded Assist during Arena/Stadium conversions from ice shows and other configurations when needed Supervise front-line staff including skate guards, rink attendants, concessions, and guest services Assist with various administrative duties Supervisory Responsibilities Directly supervises Support Staff. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with LEGENDS GLOBAL's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include opening and closing the rink; handling transactions and ensuring revenue counts match sales in the cash register; supervising all part-time staff on duty ensuring policies are followed and breaks are given at adequate times; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Education and/or Experience Requires a high school diploma/GED Be licensed to operate a motor vehicle OSHA safety certification is preferred Skills and Abilities Ability to prioritize and to handle multiple projects simultaneously Good written, verbal and interpersonal skills required; ability to interact with all levels of staff including management Must be highly motivated and able to work independently Professional presentation, appearance, and work ethic 2–4 years of experience in ice rink, recreation, sports facility, or hospitality management preferred Strong leadership and team development skills Knowledge of ice rink operations and equipment preferred Excellent communication and conflict resolution abilities Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays CPR/AED/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 60 days) Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have sufficient computer skills to operate BMS / other automated systems. Applicants should have adequate knowledge of normal business applications such as Windows 10, Microsoft Office, Adobe, et cetera. Requirements

  • Requires a high school diploma/GED
  • Be licensed to operate a motor vehicle
  • Ability to prioritize and to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Good written, verbal and interpersonal skills required; ability to interact with all levels of staff including management
  • Must be highly motivated and able to work independently
  • Professional presentation, appearance, and work ethic
  • 2–4 years of experience in ice rink, recreation, sports facility, or hospitality management preferred
  • Strong leadership and team development skills
  • Knowledge of ice rink operations and equipment preferred
  • Excellent communication and conflict resolution abilities
