About The Position

Anakeesta is seeking a Coaster Maintenance Supervisor responsible for the safe operation and upkeep of our mountain coaster systems, installed by Brandauer/Sunkid and Wiegand. This role ensures that all maintenance activities meet safety standards set by ANSI, OSHA, ASTM, and the U.S. Forest Service. The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined, a team leader, and committed to maintaining a strong safety culture.

Requirements

  • Experience with cable lifts, coasters, or similar ride systems preferred
  • Strong mechanical background with engines, heavy equipment, and diagnostics required
  • Electrical, welding, and fabrication experience strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with maintenance documentation, inventory management, and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to troubleshoot, plan, and execute complex repairs
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions and at heights
  • Ability to lift 25–100 lbs and perform physical tasks (climbing, kneeling, crawling, etc.)
  • Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to operate ATVs, UTVs, and park vehicles

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the Coaster Maintenance Team
  • Conduct preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on coaster systems
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to hydraulics, pneumatics, engines, and low-voltage electrical systems
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies and manufacturer standards
  • Maintain and review coaster maintenance files, safety logs, and operational reports
  • Train staff on maintenance protocols, equipment usage, and department procedures
  • Develop and execute seasonal maintenance schedules (summer and winter programs)
  • Conduct daily safety checks, including weather assessments, and provide “all clear” status to operations leadership
  • Operate and train on various tools and equipment (welders, hoists, presses, etc.)
  • Complete digital work orders using HIPPO software
  • Create team schedules and oversee performance
  • Serve as the acting leader in the absence of the Coaster Maintenance Manager
  • Collaborate with other departments to support operational needs
  • Perform other duties as assigned
