About The Position

The Rides Lead supports the daily operation of Morgan’s Wonderland attractions by providing on-shift leadership, guidance, and oversight to Ride Operators and Ride Hosts. This role ensures that all rides are operated safely, efficiently, and in accordance with park, IROC, and manufacturer standards. The Rides Team Lead assists with training, coaches team members during their shifts, monitors ride performance, and helps resolve guest concerns with professionalism and care. By promoting a positive, inclusive, and safety-focused environment, the Rides Team Lead plays a key role in delivering a memorable and accessible experience for every guest.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Ride Operator or in a similar attractions or guest service role required.
  • Demonstrated understanding of ride operations, safety procedures, and IROC standards.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and guide team members effectively.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact positively with guests of all ages and abilities.
  • Ability to remain calm, focused, and professional in fast-paced or high-pressure situations.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and enforce safety and operational policies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make quick, safe, and informed decisions.
  • Must successfully complete all required training and maintain any necessary certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-shift leadership and support to Ride Operators and Ride Hosts to ensure safe, efficient, and consistent ride operations.
  • Monitor ride procedures and team member performance, offering coaching and correction as needed to maintain IROC and park safety standards.
  • Assist with training new and current team members, reinforcing proper ride operation, guest interaction, and emergency procedures.
  • Conduct routine ride checks, verify documentation, and ensure all operational logs are completed accurately.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for resolving guest concerns, questions, or issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Communicate important updates, operational changes, and safety alerts to the rides team throughout the shift.
  • Ensure ride areas, queue lines, and loading zones remain clean, organized, and accessible.
  • Report operational issues, safety concerns, or equipment malfunctions promptly to supervisors or maintenance staff.
  • Support scheduling needs by helping assign positions and breaks to maintain balanced and efficient staffing.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and guest-focused culture that aligns with Morgan’s Wonderland values.
  • Other duties as assigned.
