About The Position

In partnership with Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) territory managers, the primary goal of this role is to drive sales across assigned territories by effectively promoting and expanding the reach of our advisory solutions tailored for the Midland Advisory/RIA channel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, or related field Preferred
  • 1-2 years' related industry experience and/or financial services experience in the area of wholesale distribution and relationship management in annuity and/or RIA distribution Preferred
  • 1-2 years' experience working with investment, annuity, and insurance solutions Preferred
  • Possess strong curiosity concerning RIAs, their businesses, and advisory industry topics and trends
  • Strong communication and persuasion skills
  • Proven interpersonal skills to allow for collaborative work effort and accomplishment of organizational priorities within a team environment
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Possess natural inclination towards taking action
  • Highest level of integrity

Responsibilities

  • Work within assigned territories to achieve assigned RIA sales goals.
  • Partner with RIA Territory Manager within assigned territories to execute on RIA strategy to grow sales and market share as well as increase visibility for Midland Advisory within the RIA fee-only and Hybrid Advisor marketplaces.
  • Capitalize on distribution opportunities through proactive phone calls, virtual meetings, webinars and other forms of communication with RIA firms, Outsourced Insurance Desks (OIDs), Hybrid Advisors, and advisory platforms. Share solutions, portfolio relevance, and positioning strategies as well as other value adds. Train field on our product solutions.
  • Proactively call to follow-up on leads from conferences, lead database, and a variety of other sources.
  • Tee up field opportunities for RIA Territory Managers to help fill their travel schedule.
  • Responsible for handling inbound calls from field within assigned territories with a focus on uncovering opportunities and driving sales.
  • Communicate business opportunities and deliver leads to OID partners when appropriate, including utilization of a targeted OID partnership approach when prospecting OID client firms.
  • Prospect directly to RIA firms and Roll Ups that employ an internal insurance desk model within the fee-only advisory community.
  • Develop relationships with OID, RIA, and Hybrid Advisors and facilitate onboarding process.
  • Demonstrate strong ability to articulate the Company’s strategy by presenting a compelling story about company’s strength, culture, values, solutions, and services to drive sales growth and deepen relationships with RIA firms, OID partners and Hybrid Broker Dealers.
