About The Position

Qorvo has an opening for a Test Technician at our Richardson TX facility. Candidate must be capable of working within functional teams to support production, process, and development efforts within the assembly and test organization.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required; Associate's degree preferred
  • 2+ years relevant work experience.
  • Good understanding of semiconductor manufacturing or semiconductor test is desired.
  • Knowledgeable in RF Test. Testing includes S-parameters, noise figure, power, pulsed power, high power RF, TOI, and ACP
  • Proficient with test equipment including PXI systems, RF sources, pulse generators, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, vector network analyzers, noise figure analyzers, power meters, power supplies, and digital multi-meters
  • This role will require supporting a manufacturing facility that operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
  • Position will demand large amounts of time working in a cleanroom environment
  • Strong problem solving skills, and hands on ability are critical to this position.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact effectively with operations, equipment support, and engineering in a dynamic, team-based results-oriented environment.
  • Ability to drive changes through Lean projects and willingness to set an example by following factory policies and protocols.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel for graphing and data analysis, Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems, preferred.
  • Understanding of DoE, SPC, and other statistical tools/methods.
  • Some lifting and standing will be required.
  • Occasional lift up to 50lb.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree, equivalent military experience or equivalent industry experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Sustain test operations within the package assembly facility.
  • RF tester setup, calibrations.
  • Test handler setup, maintenance, fixture repair, production test
  • Electrical Strip Testing and Single Component Test
  • System, circuit, and component level troubleshooting and repair.
  • Mentoring and assisting operators and technicians in the area as needed to facilitate teamwork to enhance productivity.
  • Assist in review and creation of technical documentation
  • Position requires working full-time Monday – Friday.
  • Need to work cross functionally with R&M, Manufacturing, Engineering and Quality to ensure appropriate and timely support of processes
