About The Position

The RF Quality Inspector I is an entry-level position that conducts visual, mechanical, and basic electrical inspections on precision RF connectors using microscopes, gauges, video systems, and prewritten VNA programs in an AS9100 environment. This role is responsible for ensuring there is defect-free product while strictly following ESD, FOD, and aerospace quality standards.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
0–2 years of experience in quality inspection or a similar role within electronics industry
Adhere to quality control principles and aerospace standards (e.g., AS9100, AS9102, IPC-A-620, JSTD-001)
Works effectively under supervision, seeking guidance and contributing to team efforts
Demonstrates precision in identifying defects and ensuring accurate measurements
Quickly grasps new processes, tools, and aerospace quality standards through training
Follows established protocols and instructions with consistency
Identifies and reports issues with clear communication, under direction
Willingness to adhere to safety protocols and standard operating procedures under supervision
U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder) or asylee/refugee status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) required.
ITAR Requirement
120.15. Some positions will require current U.S. Citizenship due to contract requirements.

Responsibilities

Performs incoming, in-process, and final visual/mechanical inspections on precision RF connectors (2.4 mm, SMP, etc.) using stereo microscopes and video measurement systems.
Verifies critical dimensions (interface gauging, contact pin location, dielectric position, thread features) using pin gauges and thread gauges as required by product specification sheets.
Operates VNA for basic electrical testing of VSWR and Insertion loss with prewritten programs.
Operates automated contact retention/separation force tester verification tools.
Inspects for plating defects, surface finish, burrs, and foreign object debris (FOD) in accordance with internal workmanship standards.
Understands basic operations for use of VNA, LS1, XRF, and Keyence machines.
Supports final and in-process inspection for RF connectors and adapters.
Strictly adheres to ESD, FOD, and AS9100 quality system requirements.
Keep inspection areas clean and organized, following 5S workplace standards
Follow safety protocols by wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) and participating in safety training to prevent workplace hazards
