About The Position

Crossflow Technologies, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer to enhance and develop RF models and simulations for a variety of defense customers. This role focuses on the development of radar and antenna models that provide data to larger system-level analyses, increasing the fidelity of existing models, and representing real-world communications, radar, and signal processing architectures. The selected candidate will serve as a contributing member of an Agile Scrum team constructing an integrated, federated simulation environment, where RF models must interoperate with multidisciplinary components across domains.

Requirements

  • Experience developing RF, radar, and antenna simulation models for system-level analysis
  • Experience contributing to large-scale, integrated, or federated simulation environments (e.g., HLA, DIS, co-simulation frameworks, modular architectures)
  • Familiarity with Agile development processes and participation on Scrum teams
  • Strong understanding of radar system design space (FMCW, pulsed radar, link budgets, performance metrics)
  • Familiarity with antenna modeling concepts and their impact on communications system performance
  • Proficiency in building physics-based models
  • Experience validating simulation results using analytical methods, prior data, or hardware-informed assumptions
  • Professional experience with Python, C++, Java, or other relevant languages
  • Familiarity with containerized applications (Docker or Podman)
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience
  • Active Secret Clearance

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain RF, radar, and antenna simulation models to support system-level analysis for customer programs
  • Increase realism of existing RF models by incorporating real-world effects, constraints, and fielded design features
  • Contribute RF modeling expertise to an integrated, federated simulation architecture spanning multiple domains and systems
  • Participate as an active member of a Scrum team, supporting sprint planning, backlog refinement, and incremental integration and test
  • Collaborate with software, systems, and modeling engineers to ensure interoperability, interface definition, and performance within a federated simulation framework
  • Support multidisciplinary, multidomain analysis and trade studies with communications, radar, and signal processing models
