About The Position

Torch Technologies is seeking a skilled Software Developer/Engineer to support our advanced Air & Missile Defense (AMD) Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) team. As a Software Developer/Engineer your duties will include the following, but are not limited to: The selected candidate will perform software development to support the execution of HWIL testing in the lab. Efforts will include the development and modification of facility control software to support real time closed-loop HWIL testing within the lab. Will develop the integration of new software to enhance overall facility performance and capabilities, the integration and test of software within the facility, and support to operational testing in the facility.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship.
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Math, or Computer Science from an accredited institution; Master’s or Ph.D. degree desired
  • The ideal candidate will have 10-12 years of experience in RF HWIL and embedded software development and execution, with a strong background in RF phenomenology and seeker testing.
  • Experience in C++ and Python programming is required and familiarity with real-time OS (i.e., VxWorks) and CodeWarrior (Xilinx) tools is desired.
  • Candidates should be experienced in Linux OS and real-time programming.
  • Software development IDEs (i.e., VS Code, Visual Studio, QT, etc.) and GIT (GitLab) experience is also a plus.
  • Familiarity with standard laboratory equipment (i.e., oscilloscopes and network/spectrum analyzers) and light hardware troubleshooting is also desired.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Position requires the candidate to meet the requirements to obtain a final security clearance in order to access classified information. Inability to obtain a security clearance will result in candidate being ineligible for the position.
