About The Position

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a mid-career RF Engineer to join our team in Littleton, CO! As an RF Engineer, you will architect, design, and develop RF systems and circuitry, including receivers, transmitters, antennas, and frequency synthesizers. You will perform hardware layout, component evaluation, prototype construction, and test, while supporting manufacturing during assembly and verification. You will also develop RF system and subsystem architectures, perform link analysis, and track technical performance metrics to ensure design integrity and mission success. Key responsibilities include: Architect, design, and develop RF systems, subsystems, and circuitry Perform RF modeling, simulation, and trade studies to validate designs Develop and test RF hardware, including prototypes and final assemblies Prepare test methods, specifications, and performance analysis reports Support manufacturing, integration, and test of RF components and payloads Develop system/subsystem architectures, functional allocations, and performance requirements Track and report RF technical performance metrics (TPMs) Review team member's designs and mentor others

Requirements

  • Experience performing RF modeling and simulation (for example: HFSS, ADS, SystemVue, AWR or equivalent)
  • Experience with RF circuit card assembly schematic and layout capture (for example: Xpedition, Zuken or equivalent)
  • Experience performing integration and test of RF components, payloads, and/or subsystems (for example: vector network analyzer, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, phase noise analyzer, power meters)
  • Experience testing and troubleshooting RF systems
  • Must be able to obtain a Top Secret clearance; US Citizenship required

Nice To Haves

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including accountability, on-time execution, and effective collaboration with customers, management, and peers
  • Familiarity with CAD systems (e.g., Creo, AutoCAD)
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) for materials and production tracking
  • Exposure to RF hardware or antenna systems
  • Experience with product lifecycle phases (SRR, PDR, CDR, MRR, TRR)
  • Certification as a Certified Principal Engineer (CPE), Responsible Engineer, or equivalent
  • Experience with RF/digital payload test and measurement techniques
  • Architecture, integration, and test of Electronically Steerable Arrays (ESA), Radar Systems, RF/digital payloads, TT&C, or missile communications subsystems
  • Development of analog/digital interfaces
  • Design of active components such as LNAs, hybrids, LTWTAs, SSPAs, oscillators, and frequency converters
  • RF front-end design experience
  • Experience managing research or design projects
  • Coding experience
  • Active Clearance
