THE WORK The Lockheed Martin Space Mission Processing team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated RF Engineer with an active TS/SCI clearance to join our development team in Littleton, CO. As member of the RF team, you will design, develop, test, and deploy a major hardware system including antennas, software defined radios, and related RF connections as part of a first-of-its kind antenna system. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to innovative, forward-leaning programs while working alongside some of the brightest minds in the industry. This is an MID-SR CAREER (level 4) ROLE where candidates typically require 5 years of professional experience and a BS degree. Selected candidate must have an active TS/SCI security clearance for consideration. This position is contingent upon the program award expected in Q1,2026. Requirements

  • 5+ years of of related experience working on RF-related development projects
  • Ability to interact with peer-developers to facilitate interoperability with other subsystems
  • Advanced knowledge of RF circuit design, including amplifiers, filters, and components
  • Advanced experience with RF test and measurement equipment, including spectrum analyzers, signal generators, Vector Network Analyzers, oscilloscopes, RF power meters, etc.
  • Experience with Microsoft software products including Visio
  • Experience with CAD software suites such as AutoCAD
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance is required for consideration

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or higher) in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar technical discipline. Equivalent industry-related experience is acceptable
  • Experience with RF/digital equipment test and measurement techniques
  • Experience with RF front-end design
  • Experience with Military Satellite Communications, ground-based systems
  • Experience with product lifecycle phases (SRR, PDR, CDR, MRR, TRR)
  • Experience with government COMSEC applications and integration of Crypto devices and communications systems.

Responsibilities

  • Designing, developing, documenting, testing RF circuits and systems, including amplifiers, filters, and antennas
  • Performing hands-on testing and troubleshooting of RF systems using a range of equipment including Spectrum analyzers to measure and analyze RF signals, Signal generators to generate RF signals for testing, Oscilloscopes to measure and analyze RF waveforms, and Network analyzers to measure and analyze RF network parameters
  • Assisting in developing and implementing test procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with requirements and industry standards
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate RF systems with other components
  • Working with software-defined radio (SDR) systems and interfaces, including waveform development and testing
  • Troubleshooting and debugging RF system issues, using a range of tools and techniques
