About The Position

RF Analysis Engineer, Senior The Opportunity: Do you enjoy contributing to a technical team, while closely working with relevant stakeholders to produce technical outputs that demonstrate the optimal path forward for a customer? This is the role of our Radio Frequency (RF) Analysis Engineer, working to support the customer each day, and performing RF analyses to protect their operations around the globe. Through this role, you will get the opportunity to help ensure spectrum access to support the DoD's mission at home and abroad. As an RF Analysis Engineer, you will bring technical leadership to a team of engineers performing RF analyses for the DoD across several frequency bands. You will be responsible for everything from validating input data, devising a methodology, and ensuring the quality of technical outputs to concisely and clearly convey results. You will also support the lead engineer in representing the DoD's interests in technical working groups with your peers. Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience with RF engineering
  • Experience with DHS RF systems
  • Experience with the design of microwave link between remote stations, including path analysis and searching suitable microwave radios, antennas, and hardware
  • Experience preparing high-quality customized maps using ArcGIS Pro software for the FAA Environment Cleanup program
  • Knowledge of RF coverage planning and interference analysis using widely used prediction models software such as ATDI Hertz Warfare, EDX SignalPro, and Spectrum-E
  • Ability to manage the technical execution of a team of engineers, including performing quality assurance
  • Ability to produce professional documentation
  • Ability to clearly present technical topics in high-pressure situations such as technical committees of peers
  • Bachelor's degree in Physics or STEM

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of experience conducting Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) analyses for DoD spectrum-dependent systems
  • Knowledge of DoD or other service branch spectrum-dependent mission systems such as those used for radionavigation and communications
  • Knowledge of RF protocols and propagation models
  • Master's degree in Physics or STEM
