Job Summary: Perform rework tasks as directed by manufacturing leadership. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Support manufacturing by engaging in non-standard mechanical tasks to restore manufactured products to expected standard as prescribed in Engineering drawings and work instructions. Ensure all work aligns with Jabil workmanship and repair techniques. Use applicable work instructions (when available) to meet customer expectations for quality and workmanship. Engage and facilitate communication with Engineering and Quality personnel when undocumented repairs are necessary to ensure all necessary standards are met to restore product to expected condition. Support manufacturing tasks when rework is unavailable as directed by manufacturing leadership. May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Documented training completed for all production tasks.
  • Understanding of all manufacturing tasks as required by work instruction.
  • Possess an ability to identify and properly use hand tools as required.
  • Have mechanical aptitude to perform rework tasks that have not yet been documented.
  • Awareness of all safety requirements to perform rework tasks with self and team member safety in mind at all times.
  • Peer leadership is a necessary component of this position. Position recipients may be asked to perform as Group Leaders, Trainers, Team Captains etc. as needed to sustain business needs of manufacturing department.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, read and write short correspondence, and memos.
  • Must possess an ability to form professional relationships with support department personnel and establish rapport with individual members of each area.
