About The Position

Rework and Repair job involves fixing electronic products to meet quality standards by performing tasks like soldering, component replacement (SMT, through-hole, BGA), and using precision tools, following strict work instructions (like IPC-A-610), documenting work, and collaborating with engineering/quality teams for undocumented issues.

Requirements

• IPC-J-STD-001, IPC-J-STD-610, IPC-7711-7721 Certifications
• Ability to read and understand simple instructions and visual aids.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction).
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
• Mechanical aptitude for handling electronic components.
• Ability to work in a team and potentially train others.
• 3-5 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Repair Execution: Remove, replace, or reflow components (BGA, SMT, through-hole) using soldering irons, hot air stations, etc.
• Quality Adherence: Ensure all work meets workmanship standards and customer specifications, often referencing IPC-A-610.
• Documentation: Fill out logs, follow work instructions, and potentially assist in creating new repair procedures.
• Collaboration: Communicate with Engineering and Quality for non-standard repairs and problem-solving.
• Process Support: Assist with cleanliness/organization, material stocking, and other manufacturing tasks when needed.
• Technical Skills: May involve general mechanical aptitude, use hand tools, and understanding software.
