About The Position

Blackbird Labs is a loyalty and payments platform establishing meaningful connections between the world’s best restaurants and their customers. Backed by Union Square Ventures, a16z, Amex Ventures, Variant Fund, and other forward-thinking investors, Blackbird is out to revolutionize the restaurant industry. Blackbird is looking for a Revenue & Restaurant Ops Contractor to support our Revenue team with a particular focus on restaurant partners, loyalty (FLY) initiatives, and the systems that power them. This role will work closely with senior leadership to design, analyze, and operationalize processes that enable Blackbird to scale new revenue-driving initiatives. The ideal candidate is analytically strong, technically savvy, comfortable working across data, systems, and operations, and excited to build the underlying infrastructure that supports loyalty programs, partner activations, and restaurant success. This is a highly hands-on role that blends data analysis, systems building, and execution - not just strategy.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in operations, revenue ops, analytics, or a related field
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn messy data into clear insights
  • Comfort working with Claude Code, SQL, CRMs (HubSpot strongly preferred), Google Sheets, and reporting tools (e.g., Metabase)
  • Technically savvy; coding or scripting experience (e.g., SQL, Python, JavaScript) is a strong plus
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple workstreams
  • Ability to both build systems and execute within them
  • Thrives in a fast-paced startup environment; proactive, resourceful, and willing to “grab the ball”

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience working with restaurants or hospitality operators
  • Experience with loyalty programs, rewards systems, or partner-funded promotions
  • Revenue operations or systems-building experience at a startup
  • Hardware, inventory, or logistics coordination experience

Responsibilities

  • Design and operationalize repeatable workflows for loyalty and revenue-generating programs
  • Develop performance analysis and reporting that deliver clear, actionable insights
  • Implement lightweight systems for hardware and inventory tracking and reconciliation
  • Contribute to CRM optimization, data integrity, and reporting accuracy
  • Support and execute ad hoc initiatives to advance new revenue opport

Benefits

  • Depending on your work location and experience, the target hourly rate for this role is $35-$45/hour.
  • This is a 6-month contract position, with potential for extension based on project needs and performance.
