Revenue Operations Associate

Basis AINew York, NY

About The Position

Basis is building its revenue operations function from the ground up, and this is the first associate-level hire on the GTM team. The decisions made here—how we define our pipeline, segment our market, and measure what’s working—will shape how the entire company thinks about revenue. You’ll sit at the intersection of strategy and execution, with a direct path to grow into Sales Ops, Pricing, or RevOps leadership as Basis scales.

Requirements

  • 2–6 years of experience with a foundation in investment banking or top-tier consulting, plus at least one year inside a startup.
  • Strong Excel and working comfort with SQL—you can build models, run analyses, and know what good data looks like.
  • First-principles thinker with high autonomy and low ego—you identify what needs to happen, drive it yourself, and don’t wait to be told how.
  • Clear written communicator—your SOPs, analyses, and documentation are clean and don’t need to be rebuilt from scratch.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to HubSpot or Salesforce—you’ve worked closely in a CRM, even if you haven’t owned one end-to-end.
  • Familiarity with AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor) and a track record of using them to produce better work faster.
  • Prior exposure to B2B SaaS, fintech, or professional services revenue motions.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Founding RevOps on territory design, segmentation, capacity planning, and QBR prep. The analyses you run will directly inform how leadership allocates headcount, prioritizes markets, and sizes the opportunity—you’ll be in the room when those calls get made.
  • Over time, own pricing and packaging analysis—building models that shape how we monetize and compete, not just how we quote.
  • Build and own the reporting infrastructure the sales org runs on—pipeline health, conversion rates, quota attainment, forecasting inputs, and board deck data pulls.
  • Own AE onboarding into the GTM toolstack—build the training materials, run the sessions, and make sure reps are productive on day one.
  • Write and maintain SOPs for the sales org. Document everything—if it’s not written down, it doesn’t exist.
  • Get deep in the CRM—object creation, field mapping, workflow logic, and hygiene. You may not have owned one end-to-end, but you’ve worked closely enough in one to know how it should be built.
  • Audit, fix, and maintain automations across the revenue stack. We have a backlog of broken workflows that need a clear-eyed owner.

Benefits

  • Premium Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage
  • Life Insurance
  • 6 coaching & 6 therapy sessions through Spring Health.
  • Unlimited PTO + 12 paid company holidays.
  • Daily meal stipends, a fully stocked kitchen, and $300 toward your custom desk setup.
  • Pre-tax commuter benefits and 401(k) retirement plan
  • Monthly office activities and frequent optional team happy hours.
  • Parental Leave
