About The Position

As a Revenue Cycle Team Leader, you will be responsible for training and quality assurance, ensuring your team excels in obtaining authorizations and handling billing. You will address customer inquiries, streamline processes, and provide insights to leadership. Additionally, you will create impactful content, troubleshoot challenges, and motivate your team to achieve high performance. This role is part of LHC Group, an Optum family business, focused on post-acute care.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in medical billing, collections, or business office experience in a home health, hospice, or personal care services setting
  • Basic PC skills, including MS Word and Excel
  • Medical terminology knowledge

Nice To Haves

  • Personal Care Services billing/collection experience
  • 6+ months of revenue cycle experience

Responsibilities

  • Train team members and perform quality reviews on processes for authorizations, eligibility verification, and billing/collections to ensure efficiency and timeliness
  • Resolve customer requests and concerns expediently and respectfully
  • Assist with administrative duties related to quality assurance, education, and process improvement
  • Track and resolve urgent requests, ensuring proper procedures
  • Monitor, research, compile, and report findings to leadership utilizing Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint
  • Troubleshoot processes and review with Supervisor/Manager
  • Provide feedback on team member performance for training opportunities
  • Serve as a backup for authorization, eligibility, and collections
