About The Position

Gillette Children's is seeking a Supervisor for Billing staff in our Revenue Cycle department. This is a Full-Time, remote position. The selected candidate must reside in Minnesota or Wisconsin and have the ability to work onsite in St. Paul, MN as needed. Purpose of position Serves as a supervisor for the Revenue Cycle Billing staff by closely working with assigned team members and leadership of the department to coordinate work flow, monitor account activity, review worklists for activity and completion, work to reduce days in Accounts Receivable, and facilitate training and education of Patient Account Representative team members. Provides direction and supervision of staff related to managing the workload, processes and policies to ensure compliance with billing and reimbursement rules and regulations. Helps resolve payer problems and concerns, responds to Physician/Provider requests and Gillette department requests in order to ensure customer service is optimal and to the highest standard for our patients and care staff. Compensation The hourly wage for this opportunity is $30.42 to $45.62, with a median wage of $38.02/hour. Pay is dependent on several factors including relevant work experience, education, certification & licensure, and internal equity. Hourly pay is just one part of the compensation package for employees. Requirements

  • 3 years medical billing experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Above average written and verbal communication skills
  • Confidence and ability to lead and influence others
  • Proven problem resolution skills and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Experience working with third party payor rules and regulations

  • 5 years medical billing experience

Responsibilities

  • Work Management Supervises the Revenue Cycle Patient Account Representatives billing staff
  • Schedules and performs monthly team meetings
  • Monitors the daily workflow of all billing work queues
  • Completes and communicates annual performance reviews as well as routine coaching and corrective action when needed.
