About The Position

Children’s Cardiology, a subsidiary of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, is comprised of more than 60 pediatric cardiologists providing comprehensive services for patients from before birth to age 21 who have acquired or congenital heart disease. The Business Office Supervisor oversees multiple areas of the revenue cycle including registration, charge capture, authorizations and payer follow up.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in the health-related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 3 - 4 years professional experience within a Central Billing Office.
  • Experience with the full Revenue Cycle; including denial research and the insurance claims process.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10 and CPT.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and follow-through discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Daily management of AR processes; including but not limited to aging reports, denial research and insurance claims processes.
  • Support and participate in the continuous assessment and improvement of the quality of customer service provided.
  • Develop and update proper documentation on department workflows.
  • Assign duties and follow up on progress as well as troubleshoot workflows.
  • Manage the payment posting and insurance credits processes.
  • Assist Business Office Manager with development and ongoing training of staff on policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
