About The Position

The Revenue Cycle Specialist conducts revenue cycle management of accounts receivable and provides essential support to the Director of Finance. This position is responsible for initiating, reviewing, verifying, reconciling and resolving medical accounts receivable (AR). Assisting in AR-related financial analyses and resultant process improvements are also in scope. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in electronic billing and related software.

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant accounting experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.
• Knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle preferred.

Responsibilities

• Post payments to patient accounts, prepare and record bank deposits, and reconcile to the General Ledger.
• Investigate and resolve unpaid medical claims, communicating directly with insurance carriers and patients.
• Reconcile accounts and assist with month-end close processes.
