About The Position

Arizona Arthritis & Rheumatology Associates, P.C. is the largest private Rheumatology practice in the United States. The practice has over 60 providers, 15 sites and over 350 employees providing assessment and treatments for our rheumatology patients. We are a seeking an ambitious, friendly, positive, and compassionate RCM Manager to join our team. The RCM Manager establishes single-threaded ownership of Accounts Receivable (AR) performance across all payers, clinics, and aging buckets. This role is responsible for driving AR from a reactive, distributed function to a centralized, accountable, and performance-driven operation. The AR Manager provides visibility into AR drivers, ensures timely resolution of accounts, and partners across departments to proactively prevent denials and delays while working directly with the RCM Systems Manager.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years in AR or Revenue Cycle Management
  • Strong understanding of payer behavior, denials, and collections
  • Experience managing AR performance and aging
  • Advanced Excel and reporting skills
  • Leadership and team management experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with NextGen and RCX rules
  • Multi-site or multi-state RCM experience
  • Exposure to infusion or specialty billing environments
  • Process improvement or operational redesign experience

Responsibilities

  • Own total AR performance and aging trends across all payers and clinics
  • Provide weekly AR reporting including movement, drivers, and risks
  • Lead and manage AR Coordinators and AR Leads
  • Identify and escalate:
  • Root causes of AR growth
  • Denials, payer delays, and workflow gaps
  • Drive:
  • Productivity standards
  • Accountability across AR team
  • Partner with Systems Manager on reporting accuracy and denial prevention
  • Collaborate with Operations and Clinical teams to resolve upstream issues
  • Ensure timely follow-up and resolution of accounts across all aging buckets
  • Standardize workflows and escalation paths across AR team
  • Support strategic initiatives to improve collections and reduce AR aging
  • Other duties as assigned.
