About The Position

The RCM Analyst will play a critical role in optimizing the financial performance of the dermatology clients by analyzing revenue cycle processes and performance data. This role requires deep expertise in medical billing, collections, denial management, and financial analytics, with a specific focus on the dermatology field

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, Health Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in revenue cycle management, preferably in a dermatology or specialty practice environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and trends.
  • Proficiency in Excel, EHR/PM systems (e.g., Nextech, ModMed, eClinicalWorks), and business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Deep understanding of medical billing, coding (CPT, ICD-10), payer reimbursement policies, and AR workflows.
  • Experience with KPI development and tracking in a healthcare or multi-site medical practice setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze key revenue cycle metrics including billing, collections, AR, denials, and reimbursement trends.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to provide actionable insights into practice performance.
  • Identify inefficiencies, root causes of revenue leakage, and opportunities for revenue enhancement.
  • Partner with billing, coding, and operational teams to improve front-end and back-end RCM processes.
  • Monitor payer trends and ensure compliance with evolving dermatology-specific coding and billing regulations.
  • Assist with denial analysis and work closely with the denial management team to reduce rejections and increase clean claim rates.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and revenue projections based on claims data and payment trends.
  • Create documentation and SOPs for analytics processes and performance reporting.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives across the RCM function
