SUMMARY: This position will implement the standards and procedures of the Revenue Cycle. Plans, directs, integrates, and coordinates the leadership of operations, financial, programmatic and personnel activities for the Revenue Cycle team. Directs and promotes the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the Revenue Cycle program. The Revenue Cycle Director will perform their job duties in a professional manner while assuring that all the needs of the patients are met with a pleasant demeanor. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Direct, oversee, and manage the revenue cycle team, including billing, coding, claims processing, and PRC staff. Develop and implement departmental strategies, objectives, and goals to optimize revenue cycle performance. Monitor and manage the day-to-day operations of the revenue cycle, ensuring efficient workflows and accurate processes. Hire, train, and mentor staff; conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing development opportunities. Continuously evaluate the entire revenue cycle process to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement. Work cross-functionally with clinical and operational departments to improve documentation, coding accuracy, and patient registration. Ensure accurate and timely billing practices, including the submission of claims, follow-ups, and appeals when necessary. Prepare and analyze reports on revenue cycle performance. Implement strategies to reduce claim denials and rejections, and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to revenue cycle efficiency. Provide senior leadership with regular updates on financial performance, trends, and improvement opportunities. Develop financial and operational goals to improve revenue cycle efficiency and profitability. Ensure that the revenue cycle process is patient-friendly, addressing patient questions and concerns. Work closely with finance, clinical departments, IT, and administration to align revenue cycle processes with organizational goals. Foster a collaborative environment that encourages problem-solving, communication, and continuous improvement. Responsible for developing program annual budget and operating within budgetary plan. Complies and ensures compliance with applicable legislation, laws, codes, regulations, accreditation, funding and organizational requirements, policies and procedures. Ensure confidential handling of sensitive team member and patient information in line with data protection policies and laws. Performs other duties as assigned.
