About The Position

The Revenue Cycle Analyst is responsible for analyzing and optimizing all aspects of the revenue cycle specific to cardiovascular services. This includes monitoring payer compliance, reducing denials, and ensuring accurate billing for complex cardiovascular procedures. The analyst will provide actionable insights through data analysis, reporting, and process improvement initiatives to maximize revenue and maintain compliance with specialty-specific regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
  • 2+ years in revenue cycle, preferably in cardiovascular or specialty physician practice.
  • Familiarity with coding and payer requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of CPT codes for cardiovascular procedures
  • Familiarity with cardiovascular coding and payer requirements.
  • Experience with KPI dashboards and cardiovascular-specific reporting tools.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare Monthly MOR RCM slides for meetings with practices
  • Continual development and maintenance of KPI dashboard for revenue cycle performance
  • Analyze financial impact of payer contract changes including fee schedule adjustments, reimbursement methodologies, and rate negotiations to support strategic decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain revenue impact trackers to compare projected outcomes against actual performance, providing actionable insights for leadership.
  • Monitor payer performance trends and identify variances in expected reimbursement, escalating issues and recommending corrective actions.
  • Collaborating with RCM Sr Directors and practices on monthly projects
  • Prepare executive-level reports and presentations summarizing revenue cycle trends, payer performance, and financial impact.
  • Support payer contract compliance audits by validating payment accuracy and identifying discrepancies.
  • Ensure adherence to CMS, ACC, and payer guidelines for cardiovascular services.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities to streamline workflows, reduce denials, and enhance cash flow.
  • Work on projects with Managed Care team for underpayments and reimbursement opportunities.
