Requirements

  • Three (3) to Five (5) Years in Accounting or Auditing; gaming experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of a casino slot accounting system.
  • Strong computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, understand or communicate in English sufficiently to perform the necessary functions of this position.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and effectively communicate with guests, co-workers and management.
  • Must be able to obtain and keep a License issued by the Maryland State Lottery Agency required of all Gaming establishment employees.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business Administration Preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as a leader for employees while fostering teamwork, employee morale, motivation and open communication.
  • Acts as a role model and coaches while developing employees using a consistent, approachable demeanor and clearly articulating expectations.
  • Conducts interviews with employee candidates.
  • Recommends and documents appropriate discipline as necessary.
  • Responsible for supervision, evaluation and training of staff.
  • Ensures compliance with State Lottery Regulations, Internal Controls and company Policies & Procedures.
  • Responsible for efficient performance of company accounting, auditing and procedural functions.
  • Responsible for control of slot accounting records and reports.
  • Coordinates and prepares all reports and submissions of auditing process.
  • Supervises all revenue documentation and resulting entries into financial system.
  • Promotes outstanding customer relations.
  • Promotes honesty and trust amongst the team.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
