About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented Revenue Accountant to join a dynamic finance team supporting a fast-growing fintech business. This role focuses on ensuring accurate revenue recognition, performing data reconciliations, and optimizing accounting processes across multiple products and platforms. The ideal candidate thrives in high-growth, evolving environments, leveraging analytical skills and accounting expertise to improve workflows and support strategic financial decisions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Financial Operations, Treasury, and Data Analytics, to maintain accurate revenue data and reporting. Strong technical aptitude, process improvement mindset, and communication skills are essential to succeed in this role.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5-8 years of accounting experience, ideally in high-growth or early-stage environments.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and ability to apply guidance to evolving business activities.
• Proficiency with accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite), Excel/Google Sheets, and financial close tools.
• Strong analytical skills, with experience in data reconciliation and process improvement.
• Ability to communicate accounting concepts clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
• Comfortable building new processes and optimizing existing workflows.

Nice To Haves

• Understanding of fintech products, payment flows, and regulatory considerations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate revenue recognition in compliance with U.S. GAAP, monitoring product-related activity and revenue classification.
• Perform reconciliations between financial systems, payment processors, and other relevant platforms to maintain data accuracy.
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Identify, design, and implement process improvements to streamline revenue accounting and enhance scalability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Treasury, and Data Analytics, to validate revenue flows and data pipelines.
• Assist in financial reporting, providing accurate revenue-related data for internal and external stakeholders.
• Support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
