About The Position

H-E-B's Transportation division supports distribution by transporting products from the warehouse to our retail stores. H-E-B Transportation ship an average 12,000 deliveries per week and travel 57 million miles each year. Our Reverse Logistics Partners move products and materials from their typical end destination to recoup value--by remanufacturing, refurbishing, or properly disposing of them. As a Returned Goods Partner, you'll perform specific department duties related to daily operation of one function or area of reverse logistics, including Returned Goods Center (RGC), recycling, or reusable / pallet administration in support of H-E-B's total transportation network (San Antonio, Houston, Temple, Weslaco, Corpus, San Marcos). Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Performs work tasks in a safe manner, in accordance with work instructions; proactively takes action to improve safety
  • Proactively assists other Partners through their own actions, such as sharing information about technical matters, facility-specific knowledge, processes, and procedures
  • Takes action to help assimilate fellow Partners into the work environment as opportunities present themselves
  • Completes work assignments in a timely manner; uses time efficiently and productively in support of facility goals for on-time release of trailers
  • Operates equipment per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to prevent equipment and facility damage
  • Maintains a clean and safe work area at all times
  • Box Recycler: Lift flat recycled boxes and inspect for damage, move non-damaged boxes to a new area by hand
  • Loader: Load and/or remove boxes on conveyor; palletize by hand
  • Scanner: Scan returned food and non-food items; inspect for damage and sort into appropriate area
  • Baling Machine Operator: Operate baling machine in the manner prescribed by the manufacturer; baling all recyclable material by grade, clearing equipment jams; securing bales with ties for loading
  • Accurately cleans and organizes assigned areas in compliance with Sanitary Food Transportation Act (SFTA) and Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) regulations
  • Performs work assignments per SOPs
  • Recovers damage as much as possible
