We are seeking a client‑focused and team‑oriented Retirement Plan Education Advisor to deliver high‑quality retirement education and participant support for employer‑sponsored retirement plans. This role is ideal for an individual who enjoys working directly with people, presenting financial concepts in a clear and approachable manner, and contributing to a collaborative team environment. The Retirement Plan Education Specialist works closely with retirement plan recordkeepers, internal partners, and plan sponsors to support participant engagement, enrollment, and retirement readiness. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, initiative, and a commitment to exceptional client service within a fiduciary framework.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience
  • General knowledge of defined contribution retirement plans (e.g., 401(k), Roth, employer match structures)
  • Strong verbal communication and presentation skills; comfortable speaking with individuals and groups
  • Excellent customer service, organizational, and relationship‑building skills
  • Detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Self‑starter with initiative and a collaborative, team‑focused mindset
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and operate within firm policies and regulatory guidelines

Nice To Haves

  • 1–3 years of experience in the financial services industry preferred

Responsibilities

  • Organize, coordinate, and present retirement plan education meetings for participants, including: New hire and open enrollment meetings, Group education sessions on retirement planning and financial wellness topics, Individual participant education meetings, as appropriate
  • Educate participants on retirement plan features, contribution options, and basic investment principles using firm‑approved tools and materials
  • Assist participants in evaluating progress toward retirement goals and understanding retirement readiness concepts
  • Work collaboratively with retirement plan recordkeepers and other professionals to support ongoing plan administration and participant education efforts
  • Assist with onboarding and education support for new retirement plan clients, including participant communications and enrollment activities
  • Obtain, maintain, and properly document required compliance and participant education records
  • Support special projects and initiatives as assigned by the Retirement Services Manager
  • Perform other duties as assigned
