About The Position

This is a high-impact sales and retention role focused on saving deals, rebuilding customer confidence, and closing homeowners back into their solar projects. The Retention Specialist engages with at-risk customers, overcomes objections, and ensures projects move forward to completion.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Customer service experience required
  • Proven sales and closing experience
  • Strong objection handling and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage high-pressure and difficult conversations
  • Solution-oriented and accountable

Nice To Haves

  • Sales experience preferred
  • Solar experience preferred
  • Experience in solar, home improvement, or high-ticket sales preferred

Responsibilities

  • Engage with homeowners considering cancellation or expressing concerns
  • Rebuild trust and confidence in the project and company
  • Re-close deals and secure commitment to proceed
  • Address concerns related to roofing, electrical upgrades, pricing, financing, and timelines
  • Provide clear solutions and alternatives
  • De-escalate challenging conversations professionally
  • Present updated proposals and revised agreements
  • Clearly explain changes and expectations
  • Secure re-signatures to maintain project momentum
  • Position solar as a long-term financial investment
  • Communicate savings, rate protection, and added home value
  • Create urgency and confidence to move forward
  • Identify opportunities to include roofing or battery solutions
  • Maximize revenue while solving customer needs
  • Collaborate with operations, project managers, and sales teams
  • Ensure timely communication and resolution of issues
