About The Position

Just Energy serves both residential and commercial customers with essential needs, including electricity and natural gas; health and well-being, such as water quality and filtration devices; and utility conservation, bringing energy efficient solutions and renewable energy options to consumers throughout the US and Canada. Just Energy is the parent company of Amigo Energy, Filter Group Inc., Hudson Energy, and Tara Energy. We are looking for dynamic Retention Sales Agents to help us retain our core customer base. In this role, you will deal directly with our customers to find out what issues they are facing, how we may improve our products or services, and how to retain their business. To be successful as a retention specialist, you should have a persuasive attitude, excellent customer relationship skills, and a passion for sales. This role requires reliable commitment to the full schedule, with shifts ranging from 9:00am EST to 9:00pm EST (Monday-Friday) 10:00am EST to 7:00pm EST (Saturday-Sunday)

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (College or university education is a plus)
  • 2 years of experience in a comparable position
  • Experience in customer support or issue resolution.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to build rapport and engage customers.
  • Patience and empathy.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets
  • Good computer skills and ability to navigate appropriate software applications.
  • Must be able to work various shifts, mornings/afternoons/evenings
  • Must have access to high-speed internet.

Responsibilities

  • Providing exceptional service to our existing customers, inbound or outbound calls
  • Discussing and assisting customers’ needs and matching with the most suitable price plan and promotion.
  • Promoting our products and company on each call.
  • Displays retention/upsell & cross-sell techniques for all customers requesting cancellation
  • Developing aggressive retention strategies based on customer feedback.
  • Negotiating with customers to renew contracts and retain business.
  • Accurately documenting interaction details.
  • Meeting Key Performance Indicators (Quality, Efficiency, Attendance, Conversion, and Close Rate).
  • Staying educated on corporate initiatives, market changes and process changes
