Xanterra operates a cafe, coffee bar, and retail store which are open seasonally from late May to mid-October. Explore. this summer! Job Summary: Receive all inventory at the Trail Ridge Store, organize, and maintain adequate stock. Working with a team to help keep store well stocked. Keeping a clean and organized warehouse while adhering to safety and environmental practices. The Details: Position Type: Full-time, Seasonal. There are NO full-time year-round positions available. Season Dates: Mid-May until mid-October Pay: $21.45/hr Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays) Why Rocky Mountain National Park? Requirements

Working knowledge of all product stored in warehouse.
Able to operate a POS system, handle cash accurately, open and close the store with or without assistance.
Ability to organize and prioritize your daily routine.
Demonstrate a basic understanding of retail procedures.
Excellent communication and guest service skills.
Able to function with flexibility and courteous behavior in a high traffic seasonal retail operation.
Acquire and demonstrate an advanced knowledge of products sold in the gift shop.
Able to train fellow associates on product attributes and retail procedures.
Able to work with minimal supervision. Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality.
Ability to communicate in a positive and concise manner.
Ability to accomplish tasks with little direct supervision.
Demonstrate basic awareness of general shop security and theft prevention.
Must possess a non-CDL valid driver’s license, and a clean record.
Candidate must be able to work at an altitude of 12,000 feet.
Ability to stand/walk for a minimum eight to ten hour shift.
Frequently lift and carry cartons weighing up to 50 lbs.
Must have the ability to walk up and down stairs several times a day.
Carry boxes/product up and down stairs several times a day.
Must be able to bend down or kneel to stock product frequently during a shift.
Must be able to climb ladders as requested.
Must be able to work alone.

Responsibilities

Perform all duties with respect to the Company’s Core Values, Mission Statement, and guest services standards.
Establish and maintain order in all warehouse storage areas at the Trail Ridge Store.
Rotate all product when appropriate, to represent a “First In-First Out” philosophy of product usage.
Be able to recognize all product the warehouse handles on a regular basis.
Accurate communication with retail manager essential.
Load and unload product from delivery truck and direct where it needs to be stored.
Stock product as necessary, making sure all displays are kept stocked, neat and clean.
Notify retail manager when new product arrives.
Work closely with the warehouse supervisor, retail manager, assistant retail manager, and store personnel.
Assist in gift shop physical inventory, product transfers, and RTV’s.
Complete online orders, process shipping orders, and transfers.
Keep the sales floor and warehouse clean, which includes but is not limited to sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, polishing, mopping, scrubbing, and trash removal.
Build displays according to visual merchandising guidelines.
Give accurate helpful information to guests.
Assist the retail manager with staff supervision and training as needed.
Discuss concerns with the retail manager or assistant manager. Alert manager to shrinkage, guest problems and concerns.
Perform all cashiering duties properly, ring up all sales before taking money, call out amount tendered in “dollars and cents”, place bills on register, and count back change.
Suggest add-on sales to every transaction performed.
Serve as a role model for less tenured and experienced staff through appropriate conduct, technique, etiquette, and dress code.
Maintain a safe work area.
Open and close the guest service facilities on time every day.
Perform duties outside the job classification assigned by management along with any other responsibilities deemed necessary.
