About The Position

Overview Guard-Systems, Inc. offers a full range of security services including consulting, investigations, concierge services, strike force operations, security surveys, vulnerability assessments and other security related programs. Job Overview The Security Officer will follow the directives of the Post Commander and work closely with the Operations Manager and Field Supervisors. As a Security Officer you will be responsible for assisting the Post Commander with the professional operation, administration, and quality assurance at your site.

Requirements

Worked in security for at least a year
A valid guard-card.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to change
Ability to provide outstanding customer service to clients
Ability to effectively communicate with direct reports, potential employees, upper management, and clients
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentially.
Knowledge of corporate professionalism and e-mail etiquette
Must have basic computer skills and may be required to learn a variety of software.
Excellent communication skills and public relations experience.
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Valid Guard Card

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to all guests and vendors trying to access the property
Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitors entrances and exits.
Provide Access control, checking if the visitor is allowed on said property, providing proper badges
Watch for irregular and or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
Do inventory check of the trucks within the yard.
Gate out all trucks that have left the facility and ensure that it is done within your shift.
Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot at designated intervals.
Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents.
Security guards must be able to multi-task and problem solve, must possess excellent customer service and communicative skills.
Security Guard is encouraged to be Computer literate; possess basic knowledge of computer functions and how to utilize the Property Computer System training module.
Security guards must conduct patrols to ensure the physical integrity of the community by maintaining a vigilant and proactive attitude.
Security Guard must foster positive on-going relations with truck drivers, vendors, and visitors by constantly delivering exceptional customer service.
