As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that can help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control and badge activity as needed, document observations using a computer and/or tablet, and deliver customer service through clear, respectful communication. Requirements

• Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior common areas, exterior perimeters, parking lots, and loading or service corridors to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify maintenance or access concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and key areas for unusual activity, follow access control procedures, and assist with crowd flow during peak shopping hours and/or special events.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including providing direction to visitors, coordinating with on-site management, and contacting law enforcement and/or emergency services when needed.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity in written and/or electronic reports, and communicate timely updates to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
