About The Position

Goo Goo Cluster Retail Team Lead’s overall responsibility is to assist the General Manager and Assistant Manager(s) with a wide range of hands-on tasks to support the Goo Goo Cluster store locations. The team lead will have an awareness of best practices, compliance procedures, guest service, food handling awareness and health and safety regulations. A strong focus on guest service and communication is vital, and both will play an important role in setting high standards for the team to work towards. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Team Lead to join our retail team in Nashville, TN. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail, with previous experience in a leadership role. As a Team Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the store, assist management with training retail associates, opening and closing procedures of the store and ensuring excellent customer service. Key responsibilities include opening and closing the store, handling cash transactions, and providing guidance and support to team members.   • Must have or obtain food handler’s permit and TABC server permit within 60 days of employment.
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking through retail space.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a pleasant and meaningful experience to each guest personally representing Goo Goo Cluster’s core values and purpose.
  • Excite the team and guests by demonstrating a passion for chocolate production, Goo Goo Cluster’s history, clean working methodology and holding oneself to a high-quality standard.
  • Assist in the training and coaching of new team members and provide support when required.
  • Attend all training/informative sessions aimed at improving and reinforcing knowledge and understanding of company operations.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work with other team members, when necessary, including but not limited to classes/events, “Design Your Own” operations, and operating POS registers when needed.
  • Provide integrity, honesty and knowledge that promotes the culture, values, and purpose of Goo Goo Cluster.
  • Be a brand ambassador for Goo Goo Cluster by answering questions regarding the product and history and encourage knowledge sharing no matter what the audience.
  • Listen to team and guest feedback and report to General Manager.
  • Ensure service delivered to guests meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and daily financial goal expectations.
  • Set example by demonstrating personal guest service selling skills, meet personal sales goals and motivates team to meet sales goals.
  • Ensure opening and closing procedures and checklists are accurate and completed.
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and organized store location.
  • Know best sellers and required merchandise placement.
  • Assist with weekly deliveries and inventory.
  • Report sales trends and mispriced merchandise to General Manager.
